Another Union Boss, IBEW’s Connie Deal, Pleads Guilty
Connie Deal is the former bookkeeper for IBEW in Savannah, Georgia. Back in May of 2021, the union boss was charged with making a false statement and making a false entry. You can read more about those charges here. Then in November of 2021, Deal was charged with embezzlement. You can read about the embezzlement charges by going here. Now, Deal has pleaded guilty to making a false entry in a union record, but we’ll have to wait to see what happens with the other charges.

On May 11, 2022, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, Savannah Division, Connie Deal, former bookkeeper for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 508 (located in Savannah, Ga.), pleaded guilty to one count of making a false entry in a union record, in violation of 29 U.S.C. 439(c). The guilty plea follows an investigation by the OLMS Atlanta-Nashville District Office.DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
