IBEW Boss John Dougherty Found Guilty Before a Jury

John Dougherty, former IBEW Business Manager in Pennsylvania, went before a jury and was found guilty of several crimes. These crimes include conspiracy and wire fraud. And he wasn’t the only one. On the same day, IBEW employee Robert Henon was found guilty as well. You can read more about Henon’s verdict here.

On November 15, 2021, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, John Dougherty, former Business Manager of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 98 (located in Philadelphia, Pa.), was found guilty following a five-week trial of one count of conspiracy and seven counts of honest services wire fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. 371 and 18 U.S.C. 1343 and 1346, respectively. The guilty verdict follows an investigation by the OLMS Philadelphia-Pittsburgh Office, the Department of Labor’s Office of Inspector General, the Employee Benefits Security Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
