Alabama Graphite Products is adding a new location in Right to Work Coosa County, Alabama. The location is in the name, but the reason for expanding here is deeper than that. Alabama is a Right to Work state, which means the market encourages growth on its own, while also creating new opportunities for workers. In fact, the company plans to create 100 new, full-time jobs. In order to cover the cost, the company is investing $80 million – a large investment in the economy. So this will be a great addition to Coosa County’s economy! And we’re not the only ones who think so either.

From Area Development Magazine:

“All of the graphite used and needed in the United States by the electric vehicle industry is imported. […] Most of it is from China, where the media have reported both worker and environmental issues. Domestic production of graphite reduces our dependence on foreign sources. Even though the raw graphite we will process into battery-grade material will be imported initially, none of it will be from China. We have secured agreements from other providers.†[…]

“Attracting an operation like[ Alabama Graphite Products ]means a great deal to the region.†
