LEEBA’s Steven Whittick Sentenced to Prison

Steven Whittick is the former Treasurer of the LEEBA union in New York. After pleading guilty to several crimes, he must now serve time in prison. The sentence totals 28 month, plus three years of supervised release. You can read more about his guilty plea here.

On November 17, 2021, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Steven Whittick, former Treasurer of the Law Enforcement Employees Benevolent Association (LEEBA), located in New York, N.Y., was sentenced to serve 28 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $179,766 in restitution and a $200 special assessment. On July 16, 2021, Whittick pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and one count of false statements to federal investigators, in violation of 18 U.S.C. 371 and 18 U.S.C. 1001, respectively. The sentencing follows an investigation by the OLMS New York District Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation.DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
