Low Impact Technologies (LIT) is a company that designs and produces equipment that is designed to distill and dewater using solar energy. Their products will be used in the agricultural, mining, and utility industries, so they play a very important role. Some of these industries help to provide clean drinking water to areas where people may not have access, but these companies can’t do it without the help of Low Impact Technologies.

Originally, LIT had plans to start producing their equipment earlier this year in Australia. The pandemic has slowed them down, but they are still steadily moving forward.

Now, they plan to put their first manufacturing facility in Fletcher, North Carolina. In order to make this possible, they are investing nearly $5.2 million toward the project. This will cover the cost of renovating a 30,000 square-foot space and purchasing all required equipment.

Along with this, they also plan to create 60 new jobs for Henderson County. So this will be good news for people in the area looking for jobs.

From Area Development Magazine:

“LIT is eager to deploy this technology. Henderson County and the Town of Fletcher have been exceptional partners so far in assisting with our location process. […] We’re fortunate to have committed public partners and look forward to a long relationship together.â€AREA DEVELOPMENT MAGAZINE
