Michigan Union Boss Charged For Embezzling Over $15k

Hasan Zahdeh, the President of the Michigan Union of Healthcare Workers (MUHW) had a warrant out for his arrest on December 11th, 2020. Then on January 5th, 2021, he was officially indicted. The union boss has been accused of embezzling $15,640 from union funds. These funds come from the pockets of hard-working individuals, and now they’ve been going straight into their union president’s bank account.

From the Department of Labor:

Hasan Zahdeh, President of Michigan Union of Healthcare Workers  (MUHW), located in Muskegon, Mich., was indicted for embezzlement of union funds, in violation of 29 U.S.C. 501(c). The indictment includes a forfeiture allegation pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 981(a)(1)(C), 18 U.S.C. 982(b)(1), and 28 U.S.C. 2461(c). US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
