NALC VP Joseph Whitbeck Pleads Guilty to All Criminal Counts

Joseph Whitbeck is the former vice president for the NALC Union in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He has been conducting corruption for a long long time. In fact, his crimes go back as far as 10 years. Back in April of 2021, he was indicted for 10 counts of wire fraud. You can read more about the indictment here. But the crimes are so extensive that he could be sentenced to as much as 400 years in prison. You can read more about those details here.

Now as of November 3, 2021, Whitbeck has pleaded guilty to all of his crimes. Now it’s only a matter of time until we see what his final sentencing will be.

On November 3, 2021, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Joseph Whitbeck, former Vice President of National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Branch 274 (located in Allentown, Pa.), pleaded guilty to 10 counts of honest services wire fraud and 10 counts of wire fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. 1343 and 1346, and 18 U.S.C. 1343, respectively. The guilty plea follows an investigation by the OLMS Philadelphia-Pittsburgh District Office, USPS’s Office of the Inspector General, and the Department of Labor’s Office of Inspector General.DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
