Recap: Over 4.1k New Jobs Coming to Right to Work Michigan!
Businesses are investing in the state of Michigan as a result of the benefits that its Right to Work laws provide. The latest Right to Work Michigan investments are coming from Ford and Magna International, as well as Gentex and Shyft Group. Altogether, these businesses will create 4,130 new jobs. Ford:
Ford is investing $3.5 billion and creating 2,500 new jobs in Right to Work Marshall, Michigan, as a result of a new battery plant.

Magna International:
Magna International is part of an expansion in Right to Work St. Clair, Michigan. As a result, they will create around 900 new jobs.
“The accelerating shift toward vehicle electrification opens up exciting growth opportunities for Magna beyond powertrain,†John O’Hara, president of Magna’s body and chassis group, said in a statement. “We have been able to leverage our expertise to supply battery enclosures — a product for which we see strong potential going forward.†[…]
Magna has 348 locations around the world and says it has consolidated sales of $37.8 billion for all of 2022, a 4% increase from the previous year. It makes a variety of auto parts from technology to body and exteriors to power train. It is well known for car seats. As North America’s largest auto supplier, Magna employs more than 11,500 people in Michigan and supplies parts to all the major carmakers.

Gentex:
Gentex is adding a new location in Right to Work Grand Rapids, Michigan. This will also create 50 new jobs for the area!
“Rising transportation costs make commuting increasingly difficult, so if Gentex wants to recruit employees from Grand Rapids, we need to be here,” says President & CEO Steve Downing. “And by locating a satellite plant and creating jobs in a neighborhood near city center, our goal is to strengthen not only Gentex, but also the surrounding community, and we look forward to future opportunities to do so.” […]
Gentex says it has worked to address several of West Michigan’s key obstacles to employment in recent years, adding Spanish-speaking assembly lines in 2021. Late last year, they announced plans to add on-site childcare facilities.

Shyft Group:
Shyft Group is investing $16 million in order to expand and create 680 new jobs in Right to Work Charlotte, Michigan.
