Recap: There’s Big Plans for RTW Kentucky’s Economy
Lots of great things are happening in Right to Work Kentucky! Businesses are relocating headquarters, others are adding new locations, while still yet some are expanding! The most recent investments in Right to Work Kentucky are coming from Emerald Energy and Thermo Fisher Scientific, as well as UPS. Read on in order to find out more!
Emerald Energy and Exploration:
Emerald Energy and Exploration is investing $1.4 million in order to relocate headquarters to Right to Work Salyersville Kentucky and create 25 jobs.

[…] Emerald is dedicated to improving the infrastructure of the region by helping utilities provide safe and reliable services. We appreciate the incentives provided by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Magoffin County and their elected officials for making this possible.†[…]
“The extension of the Mountain Parkway greatly improves access to Eastern Kentucky and positions new and existing businesses to invest, grow and create quality jobs for our residents in the region. […] This project will benefit Magoffin County and the surrounding area as Emerald Energy continues to grow in the commonwealth. It has been a mission of my administration to create great jobs in Eastern Kentucky, and this is another step toward achieving that goal.â€

Thermo Fisher Scientific:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is investing $59 million in order to expand in Right to Work Highland Heights, Kentucky and create 200 new jobs here.

“The Tri-ED team worked diligently over the last two years with the PPD clinical research business, the City of Highland Heights, Campbell County, and the Cabinet for Economic Development to win this expansion and retain the business and hundreds of jobs in Northern Kentucky. […] This is a huge win for the Cincinnati region life sciences companies such as Thermo Fisher are important stakeholders in our region and employment in this sector is projected to grow by 30% in Northern Kentucky by 2025.â€

UPS:
UPS is investing $334 million in order to add new locations in Right to Work Louisville and Bullitt County, Kentucky. This will also create 435 new jobs!
