Recap: Unique Developments Happening in Right to Work Oklahoma

There are several economic developments happening in Right to Work Oklahoma. One of them is improved infrastructure as a result of infrastructure grants. The others are coming from business investments. Premium Aerospace Center (PAC) will soon be locating their international headquarters within Right to Work Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Sigma Alimentos is expanding its current location within the state.

Improved Infrastructure:

Port Muskogee, Oklahoma will be seeing improved infrastructure as a result of receiving a total of $33.9 million in infrastructure grants.

“This significant funding for Port Muskogee will have long-lasting, positive impact on northeast Oklahoma. […] It will greatly enhance the viability of an already attractive industrial complex and boost economic growth in Muskogee and the surrounding region for many years to come.â€

Port Muskogee is a 450-acre industrial complex located on America’s most inland waterway and offers year-round access to 20 states and global seaports by way of the Gulf of Mexico. The Port Authority serves as the community’s principal economic development organization, working to attract new corporate investment and facilitating customized workforce development programs for existing industries. Port Muskogee has contributed more than $2 billion and 2,500 jobs with a combined annual payroll above $125 million to northeastern Oklahoma’s economy.

“Today is a monumental win for Muskogee. This $23.9 million grant will bring transformational change as Port Muskogee continues to serve northeast Oklahoma and global industries, ensuring Muskogee remains a global port city for generations to come. […] We are grateful for the trust from U.S. DOT and all who supported our grant application at the federal, state, and local levels. The port is well-positioned as an economic engine for Muskogee, northeast Oklahoma, and its citizens.â€

Premium Aerospace Center (PAC):

Premium Aerospace Center (PAC) is investing $120 million and creating 600 new jobs in Right to Work Burns Flat, Oklahoma as a result of new international headquarters here.

“Seeing this project come to fruition has been a goal of mine since we met with Premium Aerospace in Mexico last fall. […] The investments we are making in this site, and several others, will make Oklahoma a prime target for foreign investment and high-quality jobs. This announcement from PAC further solidifies Oklahoma as the aerospace MRO Capital of the World.†[…]

[…] Their decision to invest here shows confidence in our ability to support their needs as part of the state’s growing aerospace sector. Sigma Alimentos:

Sigma Alimentos is investing $25 million in order to renovate and expand in Right to Work Seminole, Oklahoma. This will also create 35 new jobs.

Sigma Alimentos, S.A. de C.V., also known as Sigma or Sigma Alimentos, is a Mexican multinational food processing and distribution company headquartered in San Pedro, near Monterrey, Mexico. It produces and distributes refrigerated foods, mainly lunch meats, cheeses, and yogurts.
