Recap: What Businesses are Investing in Midwest States?

The Midwest can be someone divided when it comes to Right to Work laws. However, businesses certainly aren’t divided when it comes to choosing Right to Work versus Forced-Unionism states. Businesses are investing in Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and North Dakota – all Right to Work states. So we’ll give you an example of a business from each of these states. Firstly in Kansas is Accelerate360, which is expanding in Olathe. Then Link Mfg Ltd is expanding in Sioux Center, Iowa. In Norfolk, Nebraska, we have Nucor who will be expanding as well. And lastly, Core Scientific is adding a new location in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Altogether, these companies will create over 200 new jobs. Each one will be a great addition to the state’s economy. Read on so you can find out more about each investment!

Kansas – Accelerate360:

Accelerate360 is expanding in Olathe, Kansas by adding a 455,000 square-foot facility. This will also create 167 new jobs for the area.

Link Mfg Ltd has already started their expansion in Right to Work Sioux Center, Iowa. This will create 50 new jobs for people in the area.

Nebraska – Nucor:

Nucor Corporation is investing $58 million toward an expansion in Right to Work Norfolk, Nebraska, creating new economic opportunities.

When completed, these upgrades will enhance Nucor Steel Nebraska’s ability to produce engineered bar and coil products with improved surface quality and reduced decarburization, which are required to meet high-end engineered bar automotive applications, company officials noted. This investment will further diversify the products supplied from Nucor Steel Nebraska. Additionally, this project will further our commitment to safety by allowing Nucor teammates to do their work away from the rolling process.

North Dakota – Core Scientific:

Core Scientific is adding a new location in Right to Work Grand Forks, North Dakota. This will create 12 new jobs for the area.
