Recap: What’s New With RTW Wisconsin’s Economy?
Companies are choosing to invest in Wisconsin as a result of its Right to Work laws. Some of the most recent Right to Work Wisconsin investments are coming from MilliporeSigma and Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery, as well as Whisker and Kroger. Read on so you can learn more about what each investment will mean for the state.
MilliporeSigma:
MilliporeSigma has begun construction of a new facility in Right to Work Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This will create 60 new jobs as a result!
“Our purpose is to positively impact life and health with science, and today’s ground-breaking exemplifies this commitment by adding physical capacity and expanding our regional network to meet the growing needs of our customers and ensure supply chain security. […] This new, state-of-the-art facility will support the surge in demand experienced by our global in-vitro diagnostic manufacturing customers.†[…]

Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery:
Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery has just opened a new location in Right to Work Menomonie, Wisconsin as a result of a $26.1 million investment, creating 42 new jobs.
“The Menomonie Creamery is an exciting new part of the Cooperative. […] In its 112 years of operations this is the Creamery’s first new facility. We look forward to the growth and prosperity this location and community offer our member owners. A special thank you to the City of Menomonie and WEDC for making this possible for the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery.†[…]
“This new facility will allow Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery to share the wonders of Wisconsin cheese curds with even more people. […] The more than $26 million investment in this facility will allow the creamery to grow nationally and internationally as well as develop additional specialty cheeses.â€

Whisker:
Whisker is investing $10.7 million in order to expand in Right to work Juneau, Wisconsin. As a result, this will create 150 new jobs.
WEDC is supporting the project by authorizing up to $450,000 in state income tax credits over the next three years. The actual amount of tax credits Whisker will receive is contingent upon the number of jobs created and the amount of capital investment during that period.

Kroger:
Kroger is adding a new Customer Fulfillment Center soon in Right to Work Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This will also create 200 new jobs!

Our tradition of fresh is all about our customers, and this true milestone moment incorporates end-to-end cold solutions, including customized refrigerated vans, providing Kenosha County residents with everything fresh, every time.†[…]
“Through our growing partnership, we are helping Kroger Delivery to introduce a world-leading online grocery proposition to their customers across the USA. Enabled by Ocado Group’s unique, cutting-edge technology, this fulfillment centre will introduce a step change in the kind of service and efficiency that shoppers across Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and northwest Indiana can expect from grocery ecommerce.†[…]
“Kroger’s partnership with Ocado on this new Pleasant Prairie facility allows Wisconsin to help discover innovative solutions for grocery ordering and delivery. […] While this facility will use robots and the latest technology to fulfill orders, this project is also expected to create more than 200 jobs.â€
