Union Boss Scott Wilson Pleads Guilty to Embezzlement

Scott Wilson is the former Director of Information and Technology for Operating Engineers Local 3 in Alameda, California. On June 1, 2021, he was charged with embezzlement of union funds. You can read more about it here. Then on July 6, 2021, he pled guilty to the act. Now it’s just a matter of waiting to see what his final sentencing will be. This is just another example of the union corruption that goes on behind the scenes.

From the Department of Labor:

On July 6, 2021, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, Scott Wilson […] pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement of union assets, in violation of 29 U.S.C. 501(c). The guilty plea follows an investigation by the OLMS San Francisco-Seattle District Office.
