Chicago Tribune:  Illinois Gov. Pritzker says Madigan, who has vowed not to resign after being tied to a recent bribery scandal, “owes public a full explanation.â€

Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker said Friday that House Speaker Michael Madigan’s declaration that he would not resign after being implicated in ComEd’s federal bribery scandal wasn’t a sufficient response and that he owes the public a full explanation.  “I believe people who serve the public interest, people who get elected to public office, have a duty to be transparent and to live up to the integrity that’s demanded by the public for their public service,†Pritzker said.

Union bosses poured $3,856,900 of union dues and forced-fees into Mike Madigan’s pockets; and, it makes you wonder. For instance, International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) bosses donated $1,523,700 in union dues and forced fees to Madigan’s political fund, what did they think was worth $1.5 million in 2018 and another $864,200 in 2019?

And, Teacher union bosses gave Madigan $250,000 in 2019. (See image below)
