CLAW Forestry Services Chooses to Invest in RTW Mississippi

CLAW Forestry Services is adding a new location soon in Right to Work Gloster, Mississippi. This will serve as a new sawmill for the company. In order to make this possible, the company is investing a total of $200 million toward the project. In addition, they also have plans to create a total of 131 new jobs. So this is great news for the area’s economy and the job market!

The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance for infrastructure improvements and site development. Amite County also is assisting with the project.
The new mill will require in excess of 1 million tons of timber annually to produce approximately 250 million board feet of lumber, company officials explained.
In connection with the new facility, efforts are underway to resume operation of the Gloster Southern Railroad to further revitalize industry and jobs in the underserved community.
