AFSCME Union Boss Sofia Hererra Admits to Crime
AFSCME Local 2620 Treasurer Sofia Hererra took no time at all to plead guilty to wire fraud charges.

On April 10, 2026, in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division – Los Angeles, Sofia Hererra, former Treasurer of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 2620 (located in Burbank, Calif.), pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. 1343. The guilty plea follows an investigation by the OLMS Los Angeles District Office and the Department of Labor’s Office of Inspector General.
