How Is Carolina Coops Growing the NC Economy?

Carolina Coops is a company that designs and builds custom chicken coops for farmers, families, and more. They have created quite a name for themselves in recent years, and are known worldwide for their unique coops. As a result, they are adding a new facility in Right to Work Butner, North Carolina. In order to cover the cost, they are investing $2.1 million. But this expansion will benefit more than just the business and those who want chicken coops. The company also plans to create 147 new jobs not long after opening. They also plan to grow that number to 500 new jobs over time. So this will be a great economic addition for Granville County!
From Area Development Magazine:
“We are excited to be coming back to North Carolina, where it all started. [Carolina Coop] couldn’t have done it without the support of NC and Granville County. We look forward to being a part of the local community, creating jobs and outreach such as Rotary Club, FFA, and incubating eggs in classrooms, so we can grow together.” […]
“Our economy is rooted in agriculture and driven by entrepreneurs like Carolina Coops. […] With our central location, skilled workforce and access to raw materials, our state has the right ingredients to support the company’s growth in rural North Carolina.”
