Connie Deal, Former IBEW Boss, Charged with False Statement and False Entry

Connie Deal is now the former office manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 508 in Savannah, Georgia. On May 18th, they were charged with multiple crimes. These include making a false statement in a report and making a false entry in a union record. Only time will tell us what happens next.

From the Department of Labor:

On May 18, 2021, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, Connie Deal […] was charged in a two-count information with making a false statement in a report required to be filed with the Secretary of Labor and making a false entry in a union record, in violation of 29 U.S.C. 439(b) and 439(c), respectively. The charges follow an investigation by the OLMS Atlanta-Nashville District Office.
