Ranger Scientific is a company that focuses on developing and manufacturing ammunition for small guns and weapons. Recently, they have decided to invest $7.5 million toward a new location in Montgomery, West Virginia. So that investment will go toward renovating an old high school into a production factory.

This will also mean new job opportunities for Montgomery residents. They estimate to create around 400 jobs over the next few years. This will also provide excellent economic growth opportunities for the Montgomery community.

From Area Development Magazine:

“This last year alone, [ Ranger Scientific ] invested $462 million in West Virginia, and in communities just like this. […] To be eligible for any of our loans or grants, you have to be outside of the Charleston metropolitan area. We have 49 different programs that we can administer to help build healthy strong communities.”

“Our plan is to employ as many local people as we can. […] In fact, part of our process is to commence training to bring people up to where we can rely on them for all operations. Over the next five years, there will be manufacturing jobs, approximately 400.”
