Spiber is a Japanese biotech company that focuses on producing synthetic proteins to replace spider silk in things such as clothing. They are now reporting plans to soon invest in a new location in Clinton, Iowa. In order to start things off, they are investing a total of $101.4 million toward their new manufacturing facility here.
