Jomar Car Wash Workers Free From RWDSU Union Stronghold

Jomar Car Wash, also known as Main Street Car Wash in Flushing, New York has been under the reign of Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) for eight years. And in that eight years, workers have been forced to pay up or lose their jobs. Well, not anymore! One of the car wash’s employees, Ervin Par, organized a petition drive that was signed and backed by many other car wash employees seeking a union decertification vote (majority votes oust unions from workplaces) and filed it with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).  The RWDSU lost the vote and Par and his likeminded fellow employees won.

With help from the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, Par and many others are now free from the grasp of the union! Now, the workers at Jomar Car Wash should no longer be forced to pay union dues and fees to unwanted  RWDSU union officials in order to keep their jobs.

In QNC, Foundation President Mark Mix is quoted:
