Right to Work Mississippi Economic Update

PACCAR has great plans for Right to Work Columbus, Mississippi, and those are to expand their production facility. In order to cover the costs, the auto technology company is investing a total of $209.4 million toward the project. They will also be creating 100 new jobs. So this is an exciting development!

From Area Development Magazine:

“PACCAR has produced more than 300,000 PACCAR MX Engines in its world-class engine factory in Columbus, MS, since 2010. The PACCAR MX engine has a design life of one million miles, after which time the remanufacturing process can extend that life another one million miles. Engine remanufacturing is good for the environment and provides value to Kenworth and Peterbilt truck owners who appreciate the opportunity to extend the life of their trucks with high-quality remanufactured PACCAR MX Engines.†[…]

“This exciting announcement is the latest reminder of how Mississippi’s efforts to foster economic growth are a vital part of our state’s economic future. In addition to creating so many exciting new opportunities for so many individuals, these 100 new jobs will benefit the Golden Triangle Region by building a stronger tax base and supporting local businesses.
