What is Interfor Planning Next in Right to Work Louisiana?

Interfor Corporation is planning to add a new location soon in Right to work DeQuincy, Louisiana. The plan is to turn an old Georgia Pacific sawmill into a wood product manufacturing facility. In order to do this, they are investing $8 million toward the project. They will also create 170 new jobs as a result. So this will be a great economic addition to the area! This shows how Right to Work states are always attracting new business, which then boosts the economy.

Interfor brings industry leadership and know-how to this project, and I am excited to say this new investment will create hundreds of new direct and indirect jobs to Louisiana.†[…]

“The restart of the lumber mill at DeQuincy by Interfor is a huge economic win for southwest Louisiana. […] Interfor purchased the shuttered lumber mill from Georgia Pacific, and is investing millions of dollars in preparation of restarting the mill. This investment would create an estimated 45 construction jobs. When the mill is fully operational, Interfor plans to employ 170 permanent workers in quality jobs.
