Former AFSCME Officer Sentenced in Union Dues Theft

On May 22, 2020, Linda M. Woodford was sentenced to five days in jail and more for misusing union dues as former president the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 7270 in Menomonie, Wisconsin.  She also must undergo a year of probation and 50 hours of community service. 

A resident of Glenwood City, Ms. Woodford confessed last year to writing 19 unapproved checks to herself for personal expenses.  Woodford disclosed she wrote checks “a couple of time. . .†because she “needed the money†for personal bills.

Ms. Woodford will restore $453 in court costs, and paid a full restitution of $4,065.  The case was investigated by the OLMS Detroit-Milwaukee District Office
