In 2019, Honda Aircraft Company began adding onto their headquarters facility in Greensboro, North Carolina. By September, they finished construction, but further details had to be taken care of first. Now, they are finally opening up for operations! This all comes as a result of a $24.3 million investment.

This is great news because it’ll create new job opportunities for those in Greensboro. With unemployment as high as it is with COVID, this new facility will offer a great economic boost for the area.

The new facility that has been added on totals 83,000 square feet, adding to the current 133 acres that the facility currently has to run on. This will help them manufacture more wings and other parts, which, in turn, will help them further expand in the future. So this is great news for the company, as well as for the economy.

From Area Development Magazine:

“Honda is a mobility technology company, and our newest facility further increases efficiency of assembly. It also will house more service parts to support the rapidly growing HondaJet fleet. […] Since entering the market five years ago, the HondaJet has received a tremendous response from customers. This facility will enable us to continue to provide our growing global customer base with the highest level of customer support.â€AREA DEVELOPMENT MAGAZINE
