Right to Work Mississippi Economic Update

Hood Industries has plans to establish a new manufacturing facility soon in Right to Work Beaumont, Mississippi. This will give the company access to the Right to Work benefits the state provides. In order to accomplish their goals, they are investing a total of $200 million toward the project. They will also create 265 new jobs. So this is something to look forward to!

From Area Development Magazine:

“The mill has been one of the cornerstones of our company because of the support received from the community of Beaumont, Perry County, and surrounding areas, and the hard work of our excellent employees. […] We are excited to be able to rebuild the facility into one of the most modern plywood plants in North America.†[…]

“Today’s announcement from Hood Industries is great news for Mississippi’s economy and underscores the importance of agriculture, forestry and wood products to our state. We’re proud to support this project through infrastructure improvements and site development, and we’re grateful for the partnership of Perry County and the town of Beaumont.
