Mississippi OPEIU Boss Lisa Bennett Pleads Guilty to Embezzlement
Business Agent, Secretary, and Treasurer for the OPEIU Local 204, Lisa Bennett, has pleaded guilty to embezzlement. The total amount allegedly taken from the union’s funds but the union boss was over $33k.

On February 17, 2023, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, Lisa Bennett, former Business Agent/Secretary Treasurer of Office of Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) Local 204 (located in Pascagoula, Miss.), pleaded guilty to one count of embezzling $33,236 in union funds. The guilty plea follows an investigation by the OLMS Dallas-New Orleans District Office.DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
