Recap: Major Investments are Happening in RTW Alabama

Major investments are happening in Right to Work Alabama. In fact, we have two major investments we’d like to share with you! The first is Canfor Southern Pine in Mobile. Meanwhile, Global Resources International and Advanced Product Solutions are working together in Dothan. Altogether, these investments will create a total of 230 new jobs.

Canfor Southern Pine:

Canfor Southern Pine is investing $210 million toward a new location in Right to Work Mobile, Alabama. This will also create 130 new jobs!

“The expansion of Canfor is a strategic investment in the community, sawmill industry and economy of South Alabama. […] As one of the most heavily forested states in the nation, Alabama has ample opportunity to attract significant new capital investment in the forest industry, and it’s apparent we’re doing just that.†“Mobile, and all of Alabama, has been proud to be the host of Canfor’s U.S. headquarters, and we look forward to seeing their continued, nation-wide success after this highly-anticipated and much-needed facility growth.†[…]

Global Resources International:

Global Resources International and Advanced Product Solutions are planning to soon create 100 new jobs in Right to Work Dothan, Alabama.

The company will also expand in the nearby community of Columbia, investing $1.8 million and creating 10 jobs. […]

“These growth plans by Global Resources International and Advanced Product Solutions represent a significant development for the Wiregrass region. […] This expansion will enhance the domestic production of critically needed products for customers in Alabama and the nation, while also solidifying the GRI-APS presence in the Wiregrass.â€
