Right to Work Louisiana Economic Update

Shell is expanding in Right to Work Port Allen, Louisiana, in order to increase catalyst manufacturing. In order to cover the costs, the company is investing a total of $121.7 million toward the project. As a result, the will also 17 new high-paying jobs, where the average yearly salary will come to over $94,000. In addition, they will also expect to see 57 indirect jobs created as well.

“Shell Catalysts and Technologies has a more than 13-year history of operation at Port Allen that has provided jobs for over a decade and made the site a world-class catalyst manufacturing facility,†Elise H. Nowee, vice president of Shell Catalysts and Technologies, said in a statement. “The company’s investment is another testament of our commitment to the state of Louisiana as a prime location for doing business.â€
