Right to Work Oklahoma to See Improved Infrastructure

Port Muskogee, Oklahoma will soon be seeing improved infrastructure. This comes as a result of receiving a total of $33.9 million in infrastructure grants. So this is exciting news!

From Area Development Magazine:

“This significant funding for Port Muskogee will have long-lasting, positive impact on northeast Oklahoma. […] It will greatly enhance the viability of an already attractive industrial complex and boost economic growth in Muskogee and the surrounding region for many years to come.â€

Port Muskogee is a 450-acre industrial complex located on America’s most inland waterway and offers year-round access to 20 states and global seaports by way of the Gulf of Mexico. The Port Authority serves as the community’s principal economic development organization, working to attract new corporate investment and facilitating customized workforce development programs for existing industries. Port Muskogee has contributed more than $2 billion and 2,500 jobs with a combined annual payroll above $125 million to northeastern Oklahoma’s economy.

“Today is a monumental win for Muskogee. This $23.9 million grant will bring transformational change as Port Muskogee continues to serve northeast Oklahoma and global industries, ensuring Muskogee remains a global port city for generations to come. […] We are grateful for the trust from U.S. DOT and all who supported our grant application at the federal, state, and local levels. The port is well-positioned as an economic engine for Muskogee, northeast Oklahoma, and its citizens.â€
