decertification election petition by nurses helps boot out Steelworkers union

Nurses give Steelworkers union the boot at a Minesota Mayo Clinic.

The United Steelworkers District 11 stopped fighting the will of nurses and “voluntarily relinquished” its right to represent about 70 licensed practical nurses” after most of the nurses signed a decertification petition to expel the union.

This decision comes after a majority of the workers signed onto a petition with the National Labor Relations Board to hold an election to oust the union with the help of the National Right to Work Foundation, a pro-employee rights nonprofit1
