US Department of Labor Investigation Update

After pleading guilty to embezzlement, United Steelworkers Local 673 Treasurer Kenneth Kleinhenz has been sentenced to four years of probation, eight months of home detention, and must pay nearly $90k in restitution.

On February 28, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division, Kenneth Kleinhenz, former Treasurer of United Steelworkers (USW) Local 673 (located in Olmsted Falls, Ohio), was sentenced to four years of probation, with the first eight months to be served on home detention and ordered to pay $89,457 in restitution and a $100 special assessment. On October 18, 2024, Kleinhenz pleaded guilty to embezzlement, in violation of 29 U.S.C. 501(c). The sentencing follows an investigation by the OLMS Cincinnati-Cleveland District Office.
