William B. Ruggles Journalist Scholarship List of Related Subjects


Those who wish to apply for the scholarship must meet the following minimal requirements to be eligible for the scholarship: Applicants are limited to graduate or undergraduate students majoring in journalism or related majors, in institutions of higher learning throughout the United States. (Exclusion: officers, directors and employees of the National Institute for Labor Relations Research, the National Right to Work Committee, Members of the Selection Review Committee and their families are not eligible.)
Applicants and potential applicants may wonder what qualifies as journalism or a “related” journalism major. To help clarify this description, NILRR staff created a list below from college and career center onlineposts. However, this list is not complete. With media and college courses constantly changing, please contact NILRR to see if your major or minor not listed below may qualify for the scholarship.
