RTW-Wisconsin-NILRR (1)

Wisconsin supports business expansions as a result of its Right to Work laws. In fact, here are three that are doing just that. Companies expanding in Right to Work Wisconsin include Masters Gallery Foods and American Wood Fibers, as well as Merz North America. Read on so you can learn more!

Masters Gallery Foods:

Masters Gallery Foods is investing $60 million in order to expand in Right to Work Oostburg, Wisconsin. As a result, this will create 105 new jobs!

“Sheboygan County has been our home since 1974. […] We’re very grateful for the financial support from the State and WEDC as we remain committed to investing within the community, providing long-term career opportunities for our team members while supporting the needs of our expanding customer base.†[…]

“Cheese is big business in Wisconsin historically, today and, I believe, in the future as well. […] Cheese companies, such as Masters Gallery Foods, support our family dairy farms and help feed our world. More than that, though, Wisconsin companies and workers continue to move the dairy industry forward with innovations, research and training that make our state a leader in the food and beverage industry, drawing companies and investors from around the world.â€

American Wood Fibers:

American Wood Fibers is investing $1.7 million in order to expand in Right to Work Schofield, Wisconsin. This will also create 10 new jobs.

“This facility will expand our offerings and capabilities, giving us another product to complement the rest of our bedding line. […] Because the materials we buy and sell are relatively inexpensive, freight is a huge factor, so we have to be close to the wood streams. Wisconsin’s been one of the leaders in that wood product sector, that’s why it’s been such a good place for us over the last 45 years.†[…]

“American Wood Fibers is making commendable efforts to look after the environment by repurposing other Wisconsin businesses’ waste. […] That, combined with AWF’s job creation, makes this project one WEDC is proud to support.â€

Merz North America:

Merz North America is investing $8 million in order to expand two Right to Work Wisconsin locations. This will create 35 new jobs as a result!

“The additional funding from WEDC has definitely given us the ability to do some additional project work, we were able to get some equipment ordered sooner because we didn’t have the funding for that. […] It ultimately got us making these improvements sooner in the program than was originally expected.â€

Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is supporting the project by authorizing up to $160,000 in state income tax credits over the next three years. The actual amount of tax credits Merz will receive is contingent upon the number of jobs created. […]

“Merz has a global presence in its industry and Wisconsin plays a critical role in its operations. […] Its continued presence and job creation in Wisconsin is an effort WEDC can proudly support.â€
