The Good News for Public Employees”: You Don’t Have To Pay Union Dues or Fees to Keep your Job!

There is good news for Karen Bussard, who reportedly works for Kern County Child Support Services and claims members’ voices are being silenced by SEIU Union Bosses.

Thanks to a huge U.S. Supreme Court Victory in Janus v. AFSCME argued and won by William L. Messenger, every public sector employee in the United States and its territories essential have Right to Work!  That, as a public sector employee you cannot be forced by your union or your employer to pay union dues or fees against your will.

Reportedly, SEIU 521 union bosses have current contracts to “represent about 13,000” Kern County employees and on its 2023 U.S. Department of Labor Report the union disclosed that it has a total of 36,069 members in the entire SEIU 521 Union.  The SEIU union officers spent $7,010,669 on union officer and employee benefits (not including the additional $11,180,795 in union employee disbursements) in 2023.
